Splitting In Black Jack
Playing blackjack is an easy game to learn but an extremely
difficult game to master. Fortunately, there are a number of basic
things that you can learn to greatly increase your chance of being
successful at the blackjack table. When approaching the blackjack
table there are a few very important things that you need to
remember in order to be successful. One of the most important
factors to understand is how the table is being dealt. How many
decks are in the shoe that the dealer is dealing from and is it
being shuffled after every hand? Also, one of the single best ways
that you can improve your blackjack play and improve your return is
to know how to split pairs when you are dealt them.
If you are dealt a pair of aces or a pair of eights, you should
always split them regardless of what the dealer is showing. You
should only spit nines if the dealer has a two through a six or an
eight or a nine. Under every other circumstance, you should stand
with your pair. Learning how to play smaller pairs is a little bit
more difficult. When you are making the decision of whether to spit
twos or threes, you should make sure that the dealer has a two
through a seven showing. Otherwise, you should not split them. Under
no circumstances should you ever split a pair of tens. By knowing
when you should split, you will increase the number of hands that
you win as well as increase the amount of money you win in the
process.
